Anita’s syllabus is often the first conversation she has with her students. Furthermore, she wants it to open the door for a continuing conversation with each of them. For this reason, her syllabi are welcome mats, road maps, and setting of expectations. A syllabus is her opportunity to model communication that is clear, comprehensive, and compelling. Her teaching philosophy is made visible in a syllabus.
